Before my blog is full of perfect little details & gorgeous weddings I had to share one of my favorite experiences in Aruba. I typically don’t share too many personal posts but how do you say no to kangaroos, baby goats, donkeys, and parrots? I mean you don’t, because they are the cutest and anyone planning a trip to Aruba needs to visit Phillip’s Animal Garden. While in Aruba we made a trip out to this incredible non profit that rescues exotic animals from all over the world.
They have every animal imaginable and it’s so wonderful because it doesn’t feel like a zoo at all (because it’s not).
Some of the animals roam free, like the baby goats and others are in fenced in areas. The only animals kept in cages are the alligators, monkeys, snakes, & birds. The best part of attending the animal garden is the bag of carrots and animal food pellets you receive with entry. All the animals get so excited when you walk in and they come running. This was one of my favorite activities in Aruba because it was so authentic. Nothing about this place says theme park or zoo it’s all animals that are thankful to be there and genuinely grateful that people want to spend time with them and take care of them. All of the proceeds from the entry fee into the garden go back into the organization. If you are planning a trip to Aruba make time to support & enjoy this incredible non profit!
